T., AND J. W. CONNELLY. 2010. Greater sage-grouse: ecology and conservation of a landscape species and its habitats. Studies in Avian Biology 38. University of California Press, Berkeley, CA and KNICK, S.T., S.E. HANSER and K.L. PRESTON. 2013. Modeling ecological minimum requirements for distribution of greater sage-grouse leks: implications for population connectivity across their western range, U.S.A. Ecology and Evolution. 3(6) 1539-1561. These data can be reclassified into the 3 classes of sagebrush deemed relevant for sage-grouse, 0-25% sagebrush landscape cover (Value =1) where persistence of leks is less likely, 25-65% sagebrush landscape cover (value =2) where persistence of leks has a positive relationship to more sagebrush cover (between 25 and 65%) and > 65% (value =3) where sage grouse persistence is most likely. Reclassed areas of just sagebrush (1) and no sagebrush (0, areas with originally no sagebrush or recently burned areas). Landfire codes were: 2080, 2125, 2126, 2220, 2064, 2072, 2079, 2124) This layer is an intermediate layer used to create a sagebrush landscape cover layer using a moving window analysis.
