Service Description: This web service is based off a vegetation map of Bandelier National Monument. This map is based on natural color orthophotography acquired in 2004 with a spatial resolution of 1 meter, displayed at 1:24,000 scale. Map units were delineated using aerial photo interpretation and image analysis based on 729 field survey points collected between 2003 and 2006. Final map compiled in ArcGIS Version 9.3, January, 2010. For details see Muldavin, E., A. Kennedy, C. Jackson, T. Neville, P. Neville, K. Schulz, and M. Reid. 2010. A Vegetation Classification and Map Report: Bandelier National Monument. Natural Resource Technical Report NPS/SCPN/NRTR-2010/00X, National Park Service, Fort Collins, Colorado. The purpose of the map is to provide baseline data on natural vegetation within the monument. Please visit
